Prime Video Global Hit Deadloch Season Two headed to the Top End

Season One of the crime comedy, created by Kate McCartney and Kate McLennan, garnered widespread global success in 2023 reaching the Top 10 TV Shows in more than 165 countries and territories.

This major screen production was brought to the Northern Territory through the Territory Government’s Screen Territory Production Attraction Incentive Program (PAIP) with a $718,000 investment into the series.

Productions filmed in the NT make a significant contribution to the local economy through jobs and goods and services. They also highlight the magnificent Northern Territory both nationally and worldwide.

Production on the six-part second season will commence later this year in the Top End and will be released globally on Prime Video.

Season Two of the hit series sees the return of Kate Box and Madeleine Sami as Dulcie Collins and Eddie Redcliffe. The detective duo are in Darwin investigating the death of Eddie’s former policing partner, Bushy, but when the bodies of two Top End icons are found in Eddie’s hometown, they are flung into a new sweatier, stickier investigation.

Also reprising their roles are Nina Oyama as Abby Matsuda and Alicia Gardiner as Cath York, Dulcie’s wife.

Territory screen professionals will have the opportunity to work alongside some of the best in the business on Deadloch Season 2 which will also provide professional development opportunities for NT emerging screen practitioners.

The Production Attraction Incentive Program is open all year round and aims to attract footloose screen productions to film in the NT which will employ Territorians and utilise Territory services and businesses.
