Al Clark has produced films for the past four decades, first in the UK – where his credits include Nineteen Eighty-Four, Absolute Beginners and Gothic – then in Australia. His Australian films – which have been selected for most major film festivals and distributed worldwide – include The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, Chopper, Siam Sunset, The Hard Word, Razzle Dazzle, Blessed, Red Hill, and Swinging Safari. The recipient of the 2013 AACTA Raymond Longford Award for lifetime achievement, he has also served on the board of Screen Australia, and is the author of the books Raymond Chandler in Hollywood, The Lavender Bus, Time Flies and Time Flies Too.

Charles Darwin University - Amanda Morris

Dr Amanda Morris is the Director of The Academy of the Arts at Charles Darwin University, which is committed to supporting the next generation of creative practitioners, working in collaboration with the creative sector and informed by Indigenous communities across the Northern Territory of Australia.

Amanda is an arts educator known for the development of innovative programs in the Asia Pacific region, having held leadership roles as Executive Director Conservatoire at the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA), as Dean of the Faculty of Performing Arts at LASALLE College of the Arts (now the University of the Arts Singapore) and as Director of the Centre for Fine Arts, Music and Theatre at the University of Canterbury in New Zealand.

She is experienced in curriculum design for the arts at postgraduate, undergraduate and diploma levels as well as pathway programs. Amanda made a significant contribution to the Australian dramatic arts through the establishment and development of the NIDA Open Program. Amanda’s creative expertise is in the performing arts and interactive digital media. She gained international recognition for producing StageStruck, which won the first British Academy Award for Interactive Entertainment.

Angela Bates

Lead Creative of Savage Films NT, Maggie was previously Senior Producer of Burrundi Pictures, a co-producing entity on the groundbreaking feature Yolngu Boy which premiered at the Telluride Film Festival.

Angela is a proud Māori and Malyangapa woman from Far Western NSW. Angela has more than 20 years of experience in the media sector as a TV producer, writer, award-winning journalist and documentary filmmaker. She has held roles at Central Australian Aboriginal Media Association (CAAMA radio), Sydney’s Koori Radio, ABC Regional News, SBS TV’s Living Black program and NITV. While at NITV, Angela was the inaugural executive producer for NITV National News, where she set up the first ever nightly Indigenous news service on national television.

She also set up Awaken, a half hour weekly panel program hosted by Stan Grant, as well as writing, directing and presenting the documentary Homelands. In 2015, she became the general manager for the World Indigenous Television Broadcasters Network in Winnepeg, Canada. Angela holds a Master of Arts: Screen Business and Leadership from the Australian Film Television Radio School (AFTRS).

Ari Harrison is the General Manager at Umbrella Entertainment and the Director and Owner of the film production company, Sanctuary Pictures Pty Ltd.

As one of Australia’s leading independent film distributors, Umbrella manages rights for film content spanning multiple platforms, including Theatrical, VOD, Home Entertainment, TV and Ancillary. In his role as the company’s General Manager, Ari is across all of these areas, with specific emphasis on determining the financial and artistic viability of both local and international productions for theatrical release.

Ari is an Executive and Co-Producer on various Australian feature films including upcoming; TALK TO ME (Sundance 2023) , THE SURVIVAL OF KINDNESS (Berlin 2023), YOULL NEVER FIND ME (Tribeca Midnight 2023) SPEEDWAY, HEADCOUNT, THE MOOGAI and TIME ADDICTS. His previous Executive Producer credits include 2067 (Kodi Smit-McPhee, Ryan Kwanten) and MEASURE FOR MEASURE (Netflix Original, Hugo Weaving). Avrill Stark is the CEO/Executive Producer and creative driver of the A Stark Production (ASP) – A Sydney based company and Producer of the global hit animated series The Deep, currently in it’s fourth season and airing in over 130 countries.

Avrill founded the company, after taking advice from Sebastian – her much loved teddy bear, and over 25 years has established herself as both a leading independent producer/creator of global children’s film & television content; she is an expert in international co-productions and also an active mentor for producers who are embarking on their careers.

As a leader in her field, some of her earlier Producer & Executive Producer credits include, the pre-school series Zigby; comedy series Zekes Pad; the adventure series The Legend of Enyo and the hilarious Erky Perky; The Woodlies; and  Dive Olly Dive.Her feature film, Santa’s Apprentice, won the prestigious UNICEF Award at Annecy for best animated feature.  The Deep is the winner of the International Kids Screen Award for best new Children’s Television Series; winner of the Golden Sparrow Award and nominated for both BAFTA & AACTA awards.  The live action family feature film, H is For Happiness, was awarded Best Film at the CinefestOz 2019 Film Festival.

Ben’s creations include Bondi Rescue, now in its 16th season on Network Ten, and also playing on Netflix (USA), Nat Geo (Europe) plus a further 100+ countries and territories worldwide. It’s one of Australia's most successful TV exports.

Also created or co-created: Here Come The Habibs (Channel Nine), the first narrative comedy on commercial free to air TV in 14 years. He has a Bachelor of Fine Arts (film and television) degree from The College of Fine Arts (UNSW), and is an MA honours graduate of the Australian Film and Television School (where he made the AFI nominated documentary Truckies Don’t Eat Quiche).

Lexi is an author and unscripted producer, who has worked in development, production and post across a range of award-winning factual and reality shows in Australia and abroad for over 15 years.

Founder and Director of Larrikin Interactive, the NT's largest video game design studio and CEO of The Array, NT”s first gaming and esport tech hub, Dylan's passion is at the heart of where video games and education meet. Born and educated on Larrakia land, Dylan started his career as a maths & science teacher, which saw him travel and teach around the world, landing as a lecturer at RMIT University. Returning home in 2020, Dylan set to building the local videogame ecosystem. Founding Larrikin Interactive. the NT Geek Culture Collective which organises the annual Geek Event, TROPiCON and most recently, The Array [ ]. Dylan's work includes teaching disengaged youth the power of making video games, founding and supporting the local NT Game Designers Community, producing "The Finke Desert Race Game" as well as "Diets & Deities" for which he was awarded funding from Screen Australia and Screen Territory.  When not programming, Dylan also enjoys occasionally playing music with The Jigsaw Collective  and being corrected in his Portuguese by his very, very, patient partner.

Grainne is a strategic leader in the creative industries with more than 25 years experience in the not for profit arts sector, tertiary education and the public sector. Prior to joining Screen Australia in 2022, Grainne was the Head of Screen NSW and since 2010 has held several senior roles in Screen NSW, Create NSW and Arts NSW, including Director of Arts Investment, Director Engagement and Development.

Prior to this, she held senior leadership roles in international cultural relations with the British Council, roles in design education with TAFE and UNSW, and in management and development with the Australian Design Centre.

Currently Greg is writing the audio scripts for Espionage, commissioned as a 10x28min podcast series by BBC Radio 4 and BBC Sounds. Earlier this year he was the showrunner on Human Error, a 6x1hr primetime drama series for Nine from Roadshow Rough Diamond.

Over the previous two years he wrote pilot episodes and developed series for Thoroughbred Studios (UK), EQ Media, and McAvoy Media. In 2018 he co-created, co-wrote, and Executive Produced the 6x1hr series Pine Gap, a Netflix Original Series co-commissioned with the ABC.

Previously Greg was Head of Drama for Screentime (2000-2018). In that executive role, Greg delivered over 200 hours of drama for all Australian end-users. As a Writer/Producer across this period, Greg received seven Australian Writers Guild Awards, three AFI/AACTA Awards for Best Drama series/mini-series and an International Emmy nomination.

Major dramas Greg produced and/or co-wrote include three series of Janet King; two series of Wolf Creek; Cloudstreet; Anzac Girls; Bikie Wars - Brothers in Arms; Crownies; False Witness; The Informant; The Killing of Caroline Byrne; The Incredible Journey of Mary Bryant; six seasons of Underbelly; The Underbelly Files; The Society Murders; three seasons of MDA; Jessica; and My Husband, My Killer.

Prior to 2000 Greg wrote and ran story and script departments for many Australian TV drama series and serials, beginning by writing the first week (Episodes 1-5) of Home and Away in 1987.

She has been privileged to work with several First Nations communities and practitioners, co-creating hybrid programs such as the iconic and much-loved Bush Mechanics series and the hit online web series Black As, with over 200 million views. Maggie Miles

Lead Creative of Savage Films NT, Maggie was previously Senior Producer of Burrundi Pictures, a co-producing entity on the groundbreaking feature Yolngu Boy which premiered at the Telluride Film Festival.

Maggie produced features Van Diemen’s Land, The Turning, Paper Planes, Force of Destiny, Guilty which she co-wrote, and High Ground on which she was also a script consultant. These award-winning films premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival, Toronto International Film Festival, Melbourne International Film Festival and Adelaide Film Festival. Maggie directed the documentary Dare to Be Different, co-directed the soon to be released Trailblazers featuring members of Australia’s national women’s football team, and is co-directing a yet to be announced documentary feature with Trisha Morton-Thomas, producer Rachel Clements.

Maggie produces Indigenous Language versions of Little J & Big Cuz co-directing the voice cast with the language experts. Maggie spent twelve years in the Northern Territory, during the 1990’s working across film and theatre including an award-wining stint as Artistic Director of Corrugated Iron Youth Theatre where she wrote the acclaimed plays BRANDED and Worry Dolls.

Her film “Ellie & Abbie (and Ellie’s Dead Aunt)" opened the 2020 Mardi Gras Film Festival and was a program highlight in number of festivals including Melbourne International Film Festival, New Zealand International Film Festival, BFI flare and Frameline and went on winning the 2021 AACTA Award for Best Indie Film.

As an Executive Producer, MahVeen collaborated with Georges Films in France in delivering “The Translator” which garnered a Mention at TIFF industry selects and the Tallinn Film Festival. In recognition of her creative passion and ability to deliver high quality projects, MahVeen was selected as a 'One To Watch' Producer by Screen Producers Australia in 2020. Mark is a double Helpmann Award winning actor, writer and director. He is the 2017 recipient of the highly prestigious Sidney Myer Creative Fellowship. His feature film credits include ‘The Dressmaker’, ‘Balibo’ and most recently lead roles in ‘Disclosure,’ ‘Measure For Measure’ opposite Hugo Weaving and ‘Escape From Pretoria’ opposite Daniel Radcliffe and ‘Little Tornadoes.’ Mark worked with Jane Campion on ‘Top of the Lake: China Girl’ and has also appeared in ‘Fires’ and ‘The Newsreader’ for the ABC.

Matthew Deaner is the Chief Executive Officer of Screen Producers Australia (SPA), a national organisation that unites the screen industry to campaign for a healthy commercial environment.

SPA supports the interests of businesses, large and small, in their production of feature films, television programs, interactive content and games across all genres and formats. Matthew oversees all aspects of Screen Producers Australia's advocacy work, industrial negotiations, events and operational issues. He also works closely with the SPA Council to set the strategic direction of the organisation as well as identify and execute new business development opportunities. Matthew brings a wealth of knowledge to Screen Producers Australia with his experience as a lawyer in both Sydney and London and in senior policy and strategy positions with Screen Australia and the Australian Subscription Television and Radio Association.

Mitzi has been working in the film industry for over 35 years as a documentary director, producer and editor. Alongside her production career she has worked in the academy teaching documentary production and screen studies at Murdoch University WA before being employed as Co-Head of Documentary at the national film school, AFTRS for 6 years. Documentary Australia is a not for profit organization that connects philanthropy and filmmaking to inspire social change.She has served as a board director of the Film and Television Institute in Western Australia and AIDC (Australian International Documentary Conference where she served as co-chair for 3 years). Nathan is a born and bred Territorian who spent his school holidays out on cattle stations with his Dad, Nathan always had his xbox on hand and always wanted to be a game developer growing up. Nathan spent his 20's in the army, studying software development and running his traffic control business. After selling his business, Nathan got together with his business associate and friend Chas 'CJ' Cole to build the game he always wanted to make, Pasture: The Livestock Simulator.

A perfect fusion of his lived childhood experience and one of his greatest passions, video game development. Nathan hopes that Salty Games can set an example for the next generation of budding NT creatives, and show that you can follow your dreams without going 'down south'.

Stephen Maxwell Johnson grew up in the Bahamas, Africa and the Northern Territory of Australia. He began his film and television career at Channel 9 as a cameraman and worked on dramas, news and current affairs. He went to acting school in London before heading back to the Northern Territory intent on making his first movie.

Johnson established the first film production house in Darwin, Burrundi Pictures and operated a narrowcast television station. Productions included dramas, documentaries, short films, TV commercials,  TV Shows, corporate films, animations, and rock music videos.

Johnson’s most notable achievements include his multi-award winning rock music videos for the band Yothu Yindi, an AFI award for best Children’s drama and awards for his first movie Yolngu Boy (2001) Johnson’s next movie High Ground  (2020) has won a suite of awards including: Film Critics Circle of Australia Awards for Best Film, Best Director and the Screen Producers of Australia and ATOM awards, both for Best Film. High Ground was nominated for 12 AACTA awards including: Best Film and Best Direction. Johnson is currently working on a film set in Arnhem Land.

Born and raised on Larrakia country Travis is a saltwater man from Malak Malak, Iwaidja and Torres Strait Island roots. He has worked across film, TV and theatre, and most recently has produced many programs for NITV, and was also SBS Indigenous Policy and Stakeholder Relations Advisor.

Travis works alongside NIDA’s First Nations Consultant Rhoda Roberts AO and Elder-in-Residence Matthew Doyle to further support First Nations students, and to amplify collaboration in and knowledge of First Nations culture and creativity.

Paramount ANZ Head of Development - Yeesum Lo

Yeesum joined Network 10, now Paramount ANZ, in 2020 in the newly created role of Head of Development. In this role, Yeesum is responsible for identifying and developing locally produced Australian content across all channels and platforms including Network 10 and Paramount+.

A Hong Kong native, Yeesum Lo started her career in entertainment at NBC Universal in New York City and holds a Master of Fine Arts in Motion Picture Producing from the University of Southern California’s renowned Peter Stark Producing Program.

With a keen interest in global content, she was appointed Manager of Business Development for Endemol Shine Group in Los Angeles before transferring to Sydney in 2013. At Endemol Shine Australia, Yeesum was the Director of Digital, working across key global formats with a focus on creative content and commercial strategy. In 2016, Yeesum was named as a B&T Magazine 30 Under 30 winner in the Media category.
