Andrew Lambert

Andrew Lambert has over 20 years’ experience as a lawyer, and television and content licensing executive. Prior to forming Lantern Pictures, he was Director of Business Affairs at Foxtel where his job included running their major TV and film licensing deals and managing the commercial side of their original scripted and unscripted productions. Other recent roles include General Manager of ABC Commercial and Director of Content and Commercial with Lightbox (now Neon, Sky New Zealand’s streaming service). Before that he had senior commercial roles in Sydney and was an IP, corporate and M&A lawyer in Sydney and New York.

Andrew founded Lantern in late 2023 with writer-showrunner Sarah Lambert (The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart, The Messenger, Lambs of God) and director-writer Jane Manning (Back to Nature) to produce bold, creatively ambitious shows for a local and global audience by implementing a showrunner-led model that places writers and creatives at the heart of the production process. Using the showrunner model Lantern will create distinctive, female-led projects from diverse creative voices.  Lantern Pictures was recently selected for the Screen Australia Enterprise Business program.
