Writer, showrunner and producer Sarah Lambert has created some of Australia’s most critically acclaimed and smash-hit drama series in recent years. Sarah was the writer and show-runner of The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart, the adaptation of Holly Ringland’s hit novel for Made Up Stories and Amazon Prime starring Sigourney Weaver. The series has become a global hit, both critically and with audiences around the world breaking records for the most successful Australian Amazon original launch ever. It won four ACCTA awards including Best Limited-run series.
During 2022, she was writer and an executive producer on the adaptation of Markus Zusak’s novel, The Messenger for Lingo Pictures and the ABC.
In 2019 Sarah was writer and showrunner of the television adaptation of Marele Day’s Lambs of God for Foxtel and Lingo starring Ann Dowd, Jessica Barden and Essie Davis. Lambs of God was in official competition at Series Mania in 2019 and nominated for 18 AACTA Awards, winning nine including Best Telefeature or Mini Series. It won the Screen Producers Award for Mini Series Production of the Year.
Sarah Lambert is the creator, writer and producer of the smash-hit Australian drama for Channel 9, Love Child, which was the number-one drama in Australia in 2014 and went on to enjoy four seasons.
Her other credits include Love My Way, Dance Academy, The Alice, A Place to Call Home and The Doctor Blake Mysteries. Sarah also co-created the 65-part teen show Aliens Among Us for the ABC and C5 in the UK, writing and directing over thirty episodes, shooting in the US, UK, France and Australia.
Sarah is currently working on a slate of new dramas both in Australia and overseas with a variety of production partners including Blumhouse, Ink Factory (UK), Amusement Park (Germany), Motive Films (UK), Fifth Season, See-Saw and Easy Tiger. In 2023, she launched the production company, Lantern Pictures Productions working alongside director Jane Manning and TV executive, Andrew Lambert to produce a slate of original series and co-productions. Lantern Pictures is a company dedicated to placing writers and creatives at the centre of storytelling empowering them to produce bold, character-driven dramas and comedy to inspire audiences around the world.
