Nathan Groves – Salty Games
Nathan Groves is a born and bred Territorian. Born in Katherine, Nathan who grew up at the bachelor cattle export yards and later in rural Darwin. Nathan would spend his school holidays on cattle stations with his father, participating in cattle mustering and other station activities. Nathan always had a passion for technology and computer games as way to experience other worlds. With no path to work in games Nathan joined the Army looking for adventure. After exploring various fields and business ventures Nathan realised how lucky he was for his lived experience in the NT and decided to set out to make a game so that others could experience cattle farming in the outback. In a whirlwind adventure Nathan and his co-founder CJ went from personal private investment, to grant funding, to ultimately securing VC funding to get Pasture off the ground and are now looking down the barrel of the Early Access release of Pasture. Nathan is keen to share with others in the NT both what he has learned about game production and business development while building Pasture.
