Paul Clark – Writer/Director & Executive producer
Paul Clarke is a celebrated Australian filmmaker and entertainment producer.
Paul was the writer / creative director of Cold Chisel: The Big 5-0 in 2025, Midnight Oil: The Hardest Line which opened the Sydney International Film Festival in 2024. He was the co-writer and executive producer of the AACTA Award winning documentary feature ‘John Farnham: Finding the Voice’ which smashed Australian box office records in 2023.
Previously Paul was an originator of the much-lauded live music series ‘Recovery’ (ABC TV 1996-2000), the hit documentary series on Australian rock ‘Long Way to The Top’ (2001), creator and writer/executive producer of the award winning ‘Spicks and Specks’ (2005), which is so named because it is the only song he can play on the piano.
He was writer and director of the award-winning ‘Bombora - The Story of Australian Surfing’ documentary series and wrote and directed ‘Whitlam: The Power & The Passion’ (2013), as well as ‘Brilliant Creatures: Robert Hughes, Germaine Greer, Clive James, and Barry Humphries’ (2015) for the BBC. Clarke was the writer and director of ‘Blood & Thunder: The Story of Alberts’ (2016, ABC/BBC4).
He exec produced the feature film One Night The Moon (directed by Rachel Perkins), selected for Sundance in 2002.
He has produced multicamera live concert event films for David Bowie, Metallica, Kylie Minogue, Midnight Oil, Cold Chisel and Robbie Williams.
