Samuel Paynter – Investment Manager – Screen Australia’s First Nations Department
Sam is an AWGIE award winning Screen Writer and Producer hailing from Alice Springs, Central Australia. Sam worked on the animated children’s television program ‘Little J & Big Cuz’ and the live action children television series ‘Thalu’. Sam has also written for the acclaimed comedy TV series ‘Thou Shall Not Steal’, as well as the upcoming ‘Mystery Road: Origin (Season2), and was also a part of the writing team on the Anthology Feature Film ‘We Are Still Here’.
Currently, Sam works at Screen Australia’s First Nations department as an Investment Manager, where he plays an active role in supporting First Nations practitioners and bringing First Nations stories from script to screen.
