Screen Territory will contribute towards the costs of travel by Northern Territory production companies or practitioners to attend key national and international markets and market-oriented conferences or undertake targeted business travel for exposure, experience, skills development, networking and to help move a project or slate of projects forward.

  • You can apply for up to $2,000 per traveller for national travel, or up to $5,000 per application for international travel.

    The event must be an eligible event.

    • INPUT
    • Marche du Film (Cannes Film Market)
    • MIPCOM/Doc/Formats/Junior/TV
    • Screen Singapore
    • Sunny Side of the Doc
    • World Congress of Science and Factual Producers (WCSFP) Eligible conferences
    • Australian International Documentary Conference (AIDC)
    • Screen Forever

  • You can apply if:

    • You meet Screen Territory’s general eligibility criteria
    • You are a Northern Territory resident or company
    • You hold the rights to at least two projects in development with market potential
    • Your application is received by Screen Territory no later than four weeks prior to the date of travel.

  • Your application will be assessed taking into account:

    • Your track record, current career stage, and benefits gained from attendance
    • The quality of the submitted projects and their suitability for the event
    • The strategy for the event including planned activities and meetings - use the travel application template DOCX (39.2 KB)
    • The appropriateness of the budget submitted.
    • The level of support the applicant has already received through the Travel program in the current financial year.

  • You must submit:

    • One-page CV for the applicant
    • One-page summary for at least two projects that you see benefitting from attendance at the market or conference, including synopsis and current financing status
    • A plan for proposed activities and meetings at the event
    • A budget including Screen Territory’s contribution
    • For pitching forums: Proof of selection/invitation
